The History Speaks project was created when we were
considering how the stories of Holocaust survivors
should be documented for future generations.

These were some of our questions, problems and

  assumptions:

  a) Survivors are getting older and will not be with us
  forever.
  b) Many recordings of survivor stories already exist, but
  they are stored in archives

c) Interviews conducted in the past were all by adults.

d) The Holocaust Centre should reach more people.

  e) We can learn many lessons from the Holocaust and
  genocide.
  f) Young people should join in the creation of this
  project.
  g) What would work for young people?
