The History Speaks project was created when we were |
|

considering how the stories of Holocaust survivors |
|
| |
should be documented for future generations. |
|
| |
|

These were some of our questions, problems and
|
|
| |
assumptions: |
|
| |
|
|
| |
a) Survivors are getting older and will not be with us |
|
| |
forever. |
|
| |
b) Many recordings of survivor stories already exist, but |
|
| |
they are stored in archives |
|
| |
c) Interviews conducted in the past were all by adults. |
|
| |
d) The Holocaust Centre should reach more people.
|
|
| |
e) We can learn many lessons from the Holocaust and |
|
| |
genocide. |
|
| |
f) Young people should join in the creation of this |
|
| |
project. |

| |
g) What would work for young people? |
